⁣The aircraft may cruise at speeds of at least Mach 3 (3,700 km/h; 2,300
mph) and fly at high altitudes (at levels between the stratosphere and
the troposphere, i.e. below 45,000 meters and above 12,000 meters) to
cover the most amount of Russia's very large territory in the shortest
period of time

It is often referenced as Mikoyan MiG-41, because its project code is
izd.41, but its official designation has never been given, as Russian
planes only get their official designation when they are about to enter
service. According to the Russian defense analyst Vasily Kashin, the
MiG-41 would be considered as a 5++ or 6th generation project.[6]

The current name of the project is MiG-41 with speeds projected to be of
over Mach 4.0. According to the famous Russian experimental pilot
Anatoliy Kvochur, the MiG-41 is to be capable of reaching speeds up to
Mach 4.3 (about 5270km/h or 3270mph).

The fighter will also possess an anti-missile laser along with the
ability to operate at very high altitudes, and even in near space, media
reports reveal.
